We started Build Canada because we were tired of complaining and ready to do something. We watched housing become unaffordable. We watched productivity flatline. We watched talented friends leave for New York, San Francisco, and London because Canada couldn't offer them a future worth staying for. And we watched the political system shrug. So we built something. Not a party. Not a lobby group. A movement of ordinary Canadians who believe this country has no excuse not to be the most prosperous nation on earth - and who are willing to do the work to make that happen.
Build Canada is a non-partisan, federally incorporated non-profit. We were founded entirely by volunteers. We don't take direction from any political party, and we don't lobby for corporate interests. What we do: we publish bold, evidence-based policy ideas. We build tools that make civic engagement easier. We host events that connect ambitious, high-agency Canadians across the country. And we run a newsletter read by thousands of people who care about where this country is headed. We work with people across the political spectrum because the problems we're tackling - housing, productivity, brain drain, institutional stagnation - don't belong to the left or the right. They belong to all of us.
We work with people across the political spectrum. Good ideas don't have a party affiliation. The problems facing Canada are too important for tribalism.
We don't deal in slogans. Every idea we publish is grounded in data, research, and real-world examples. If the evidence changes, so do we.
We're not a think tank producing reports that sit on shelves. We build things. We publish ideas designed to be debated, shared, and implemented.
We're entrepreneurs, policy researchers, engineers, writers, and citizens from across the country. What we have in common: we believe Canada can do better, and we're not waiting for permission to prove it.
Build Canada was created by citizens, not institutions. We're funded by the people who believe in this mission, not by those who want to influence it.
