Summary
Provinces and territories are working together to make it easier for businesses to register and report across different parts of Canada. They’re doing this by creating a system called the Multi-Jurisdictional Registry Access Service (MRAS). This system lets provinces share business information through a central hub, making it easier for people (like suppliers, buyers, and consumers) to find and verify business details anywhere in the country.
Description
Introduced via the 2018 RCT Work Plan. The reconciliation agreement came into force 1 January 2021. Canadian governments are at various stages of implementation. For the purposes of "Implementation Date" this tracker considers a province fully implemented when they have implemented a registration/notification function (and not just a search function) per the RCT Annual Work Plans. If only search function and no registration/notification function, then considered 'partially implemented'.
